LONDON - Britain's oldest mother has returned home with her new born child, a boy she's called Jolyon which means young at heart.
Elizabeth Adeney, 66, from the village of Lindgate in Suffolk, gave birth by caesarean to Jolyon last week. He weighed 5 pounds three ounces (2.4kg).
"Elizabeth is just like any other mum with their newborn - very, very proud and pleased to be home with her child," a friend told the Sun newspaper.
Divorcee Adeney became pregnant after IVF treatment in Ukraine.
When news of her pregnancy broke last month, she told reporters that her pregnancy was her own business.
"I don't have to defend what I have done. It's between me and my baby and no one else," she said then.
