An exasperated wife discovered that her "idiotic" husband had branded a penis on to his bum using a red hot coat hanger, by seeing the eye-watering footage on social media.
Johnny Henderson, 23, had been drinking with friends when he promised the group that he would willingly have the phallic shape burned into his behind if their social media live stream received just 10 viewers.
Neighbour Derek Weir, 41, caught the painful branding on camera and the video reveals a crowd cheering as Henderson bends over and bares his butt cheeks.
Long-suffering wife of four years Rowena, 23, only found out about her hubby's antics when she came across the wince-inducing footage on Facebook, which shows the coat hanger, bent into the shape of a penis, being heated in an open fire until it is glowing red.
As it is branded onto Johnny's behind a plume of smoke comes off his burning buttocks, sending him fleeing while shrieking in agony and leaving a penis-shaped scar on his bum.
Bartender Rowena, from Penrith, in Cumbria, said: "I was a bit shocked. I was a bit miffed that he had done this without thinking and that he thinks this is normal.
"The first I saw of it was on Facebook live while I was on a break at work.
"I'm not a fan of [the scar] but I'm hoping it'll go down.
"I was a bit worried about him hurting himself but he's old enough and he's ugly enough to do it.
"It's not infected, which was my main concern because I didn't want [him] to end up in A and E with an infected penis shape on his bum.
"He does this sort of thing all the time. He's always involved in ridiculous incidents.
"It's a story to tell the family. We don't have any children yet, Johnny's enough. I dread to think what our children would be like."
Johnny said: "It was my idea. We had a few drinks and we got a bit giddy. I don't know why I thought of it. I come up with stupid stuff all the time.
"I'm a big fan of Jackass. I like to get reactions out of people. The only person that might have been shocked is my other half but she knows it's something that I would do.
"It still hurts now but I don't regret it. My sister calls me an idiot but I don't mind. "Everyone laughed at it, even my boss laughed at it and called me a legend."
Henderson used a metal coat hanger to create the brand and shaped it to look like a penis, which they then tested on a piece of bread before using it on his bum.
Weir, a full-time dad from Penrith, in Cumbria, said: "It was his idea. He doesn't need convincing.
"We've been friends for over a year. I moved in next door to him and we became friends straight away.
"It happened after we had downed about 50 cans of Fosters, he was talking about Jackass and I had a metal bar and he was heating it up as much as he could.
"We have done stupid stuff before but we've not done any branding before. Our reaction was just 'yeah, go for it'.
"He wanted me to get 10 watchers live on Facebook. I don't think he actually thought it would get to 10 but he probably would have done it anyway.
