Britain to pledge £550m for Iraq

Britain is to pledge £550 million ($1.55 billion) towards the rebuilding of Iraq.

The Financial Times said Hilary Benn, Britain's International Development Secretary, would tell MPs next week that the amount would constitute Britain's total commitment to the postwar reconstruction effort for the three years from last April.
