It looks increasingly likely that New South Wales will conduct a parliamentary inquiry into bribery allegations which have surfaced in the aftermath of the murder of Sydney businessman Michael McGurk.
The New South Wales Opposition says Greens and Shooters Party members in the upper house will support a push to force a parliamentary investigation.
The shock waves have been spreading since Mr McGurk was gunned down in the driveway of his home on Thursday night.
Before he was murdered, Mr McGurk told associates and journalists he had a tape which could "bring down the State Government".
