Brain tumour woman auctions date

LONDON - A 30-year-old British woman with an inoperable brain tumour has begun auctioning dates with herself to raise money for charity.

Lisa Connell set up a website, Rent A Date for Charity, to organise the dates and has so far raised £18,000 ($38,409) to be shared among brain tumour charities.

One Arab prince forked out £4000 for a night out with her while other men have made repeated bids to see her again.

"Knowing I'm not going to be around for long has changed me," Ms Connell told the Daily Mirror newspaper.

"I tell people what I want and how I feel.

"I haven't got time for games or for timewasters.

"I've had some negative comments from some who say it's like prostitution without the sex, and others who make a career out of criticising sick people who fund-raise, but I am so proud of it."
