A 5-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being shot in a home in Sydney's southwest last night.
Police said they were called to a home on Morison Dr, Lurnea about 9pm after reports a 5-year-old boy had been shot in the hip, according to news.com.au.
The boy was taken to Liverpool Hospital by his parents and he remains in a stable condition.
Police this morning said the family car is being forensically examined as a matter of procedure.
A crime scene has been established at the home as detectives investigate.
