A car bomb killed Gebran Tueni, 48, a staunchly anti-Syrian member of Lebanon's Parliament and newspaper magnate, in Beirut last night. Three other people died and 10 were wounded in the blast that blew up Tueni's armoured vehicle. Tueni said in August he believed he was on an assassination hit-list.
