All flights in an out of Birmingham Airport have been suspended following an air traffic control fault.
The problem occurred today with dozens of flights affected and a number of aircraft diverted to other airports.
Passengers were being advised to check flight departures and arrivals after the problem crippled the system that helps aircraft take off and land safely.
A spokesman for the airport said: "We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience this is causing to our passengers."
The disruption comes after mysterious sightings of a drone caused chaos at Gatwick Airport for three days.
