Derrick Bird could be laid to rest with the twin he murdered during his Cumbria shooting spree, says the family's vicar, the Rev Jim Marshall.
Relatives of Bird and his brother David, who Derrick shot before embarking on a murderous journey through the county's villages and rural lanes, are considering interring their ashes side by side in a family plot.
The brothers' bereaved children have pledged to attend both funerals in a symbol of love and forgiveness. Friends say the family has refused to allow itself to be torn apart by the tragedy.
