David Beckham announced his retirement from football yesterday but is yet to honour his promise to give his wages as a Paris Saint-Germain player to a children's charity.
With only two games remaining in the French football season, no announcement has yet been made by Beckham or PSG on which charity will receive his wages, rumoured to be around €200,000 ($317,250) a week.
It was reported by a French newspaper late last month that part of the money would go to charitable causes run by the largest children's hospital in the French capital.
The charitable arm of the Necker hospital told the Independent it had received no official word from PSG.
It is understood discussions are in progress with authorities on how the payments can be made without tax implications for Beckham or PSG.
