Bear gets revenge after being run over in Russia

A Russian bear began attacking a car tyre and chasing down another vehicle after being run over in Russia's far east.

The bear was run over by an SUV vehicle that appears to trap the large animal.

The driver appears to keep driving over the bear and no attempts are made to free it.

Police are seeking the driver and are considering launching an animal cruelty investigation.

People in a second vehicle film the incident. One man in the second vehicle can be heard asking for a knife to finish off the animal, according to Russia Today, while another makes a lewd sexual comment.

The animal finally manages to free itself and then launches an extraordinary attack on the tyre of the vehicle that has been trapping it, pulling it off the wheel.

It then catches sight of the second vehicle - possibly attracted by the camera phone light - and launches itself at it.

The passengers, screaming in fear, hit reverse with the animal in pursuit and the footage abruptly stops. It is not known what happened to the vehicle or the bear.
