The 23-year-old barman attempts to pull his bag away from the fox in the clip, adding: "Look, me and this fox are getting on kind of well, but he won't let me go. I mean obviously he's cool, he's like a fox, but he won't leave me alone."
At one point, he addressed the fox directly saying: "Hey, look, you have to let go of my bag. I love you, but you have to let me go home. You're too needy. Look, we cool? Can I just take my bag now?"
He adds: "You're mad man, I don't know what to do with you."
Towards the end of the bizarre clip, Hoffman appears reluctant to say goodbye to his fox friend and begins petting him like a dog.
Unfortunately, the pair went their separate ways after the fox had a near-miss with a bus.
"I got my coat, I threw it over him, I was really worried. I picked him up for a second and he was a bit wriggly.
"I put him back down and then a big bus came that was about to squash him and I had to jump in the way.
"Then he just ran between this little alleyway, I couldn't get to him, but he looked like he was out of the road and safe.
"Good bloke," he concluded.
