The three Bali bombers on death row in Indonesia will be executed at their island jail instead of Bali.
Indonesia's attorney general, Abdul Rahman Saleh, has now supported the decision, made earlier by Indonesia's justice and human rights minister, Hamid Awaluddin.
Amid local protests, the three Bali bombers - Amrozi, Imam Samudra and Ali Ghufron or Mukhlas - were moved to the nearby island jail of Nusakambangan for security reasons last October.
Our correspondent in Jakarta, Geoff Thompson, says the three men and their families have waived their right to seek presidential pardons but may still seek a judicial review based on new evidence, if any arises.
Indonesian police say that a firing squad has already been prepared.
The bombings in October of 2002 killed 202 people, mostly tourists, including three New Zealanders.
