Families displaced from Chagos Islands in the Indian Ocean to make way for a US base won the right to return yesterday in a dramatic victory in Britain's High Court.
The families sued Britain after the Government forced them to leave in the 1960s and 1970s to make way for the airbase on Diego Garcia.
