Baby panda Xiao Liwu has made his public debut at San Diego Zoo, much to the delight of media crowds at the preview.
The video, uploaded to YouTube by the zoo, shows the five-month-old Giant Panda cub clumsily cuddling his mother and eating treats.
Now that Xiao Liwu - which translates as "little gift" - has broken the ice, he will now be on display for two hours per day.
A crowd much larger than the initial 400 is expected to pile in to see the cub this weekend.
San Diego Zoo's Giant Pandas are on loan from the Chinese government, which has the option of recalling them back to their native country once they turn three, CNS News reported.
