Baby found in Sydney garage

A Sydney mother who dumped her newborn baby in a garage belonging to a 1960s rock star told police she did not know she was pregnant, the former entertainer said yesterday.

The child was found abandoned in a cardboard box, covered by a towel, in the garage of Mr Isackson, a drummer for major Australian artists.

The baby is now doing well in hospital, officials said.
