KEY POINTS:
The ACT Government stands accountable for the death of a young man who had waited in Canberra Hospital's emergency department for about four hours, the territory's Opposition says.
It is understood the 30-year-old had a heart attack in the hospital's waiting room on Friday night. He died in the hospital on Saturday.
"It's a heck of a tragedy but we've seen it coming and I feel for the people on the frontline - I really do - I mean how must they be feeling," ACT Opposition health spokeswoman Jacqui Burke told AAP.
She said someone should face the blame.
"This is getting so dangerous now and you know we really need to hold this Government to account - they cannot keep saying it's this or it's that - start taking some responsibility."
