A South Australian Liberal MP who last year called Prime Minister Julia Gillard a dog has been ejected from state parliament after suggesting a minister should be "put down".
Michael Pengilly was sin-binned during question time on Thursday for his interjection directed at Transport Services Minister Chloe Fox.
The minister was answering a question related to late bus services in Adelaide which prompted Mr Pengilly to interject that she "ought to be put down".
Speaker Lynn Breuer kicked him out of the chamber for 15 minutes over the comment but Ms Fox said she wanted an apology.
She described the comment as "outrageous" and a reflection on the whole Liberal Party.
