Australian miners face US TV audience

Australian miners Brant Webb and Todd Russell have shared their story with millions of Americans.

They have been interviewed by the queen of TV interviewers, Diane Sawyer for ABC TV's Good Morning America programme.

They spoke about how they used their helmets to collect water, and their deal to cut off each other's legs.

An estimated 5.2 million Americans tuned in to hear of the story of their incredible survival and rescue.
