Australian conman Peter Foster has failed to turn up for a court hearing after checking out of the Fiji hotel where he had been under 24-hour guard, awaiting trial on fraud charges.
State prosecutor Andie Driu told the Suva Magistrates Court she wanted to know who allowed Foster to leave. The military and police denied any knowledge.
