A woman trapped for two days in an abandoned opal mine shaft, after surviving an 18m fall, feared she would die.
Rescuers pulled a bruised Donna Synnerdahal, 47, to safety around 8.15pm on Monday at the Lightning Ridge field in northwest New South Wales.
Friends reported her missing on Saturday after they couldn't find her on her opal lease.
