Australian shock jock Derryn Hinch is facing five years in prison for breaching suppression orders.
But he says he has no regrets about publicly naming two paedophiles.
The 67-year-old will now be sentenced in the magistrates court on five charges after losing a High Court challenge against a Victorian law that allows judges to forbid the naming of child sex offenders.
Even if he did receive the maximum sentence, cancer-stricken Hinch says he won't live to serve it out.
The Newstalk ZB correspondent says he might not survive to Christmas, unless he receives a transplant.
The charges arose from a speech Hinch made at a victims of crime rally on the steps of the Victorian parliament in 2008 and from articles he posted on his website.
