A 21-year-old Perth man will have surgery after a large part of his ear was bitten off during a brawl.
Police were called to the Villa Nightclub, in the entertainment district of Northbridge, at 2.15am (local time) on Sunday after reports of two groups of people fighting.
Officers broke up the fight and then learnt that one man had had part of his ear bitten off and had already been taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance.
Police said a large part of the man's ear had been severed but had been found at the scene.
The man is due to have surgery later on Sunday.
