A man who was sitting on the platform of a northern Adelaide train station has been dragged down under an express train.
Police said the incident occurred at Womma train station at Elizabeth North about 12.30am (2.30am NZT) on Sunday.
"It is understood that a male was sitting on the platform with his legs over the edge when an express train came through," police said.
"He was dragged under the train and as a result he has sustained serious injuries."
He remains in the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
