A woman faces charges after allegedly trying to steal a dog in Sydney.
Police say the 26-year-old had made an appointment to buy the Chihuahua but when she arrived at a house in Parramatta she produced a gun and told the family to hand over the dog.
The weapon turned out to be a fake and the woman was overpowered and the police were called.
She will appear in court next month.
