The city of Hiroshima marked the 61st anniversary of the world's first atomic bombing today.
Japan's Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi delivered a wreath to the cenotaph for atomic bomb victims at the city's Peace Memorial Park.
At least 117,000 people were killed after the US Air Force's B-29 bomber "Enola Gay" dropped the bomb on the city on August 6, 1945.
