Rescuers rush by land and air to evacuate residents stranded by epic mountain flooding in Colorado, but the efforts are hindered by a new wave of rainfall. More than 1,750 people have been rescued thus far along with 300 pets. The threat of two more inches (five more centimeters) of rain may hamper the search by 20 military helicopters for more survivors.
Here's a gallery of images from rescue and cleanup efforts.
