Amanda Knox is planning to sell her story of her murder trial after hiring a literary agent to negotiate what she hopes will be a lucrative book deal.
Knox, 24, has asked Robert Barnett, an attorney based in Washington, to act for her in discussions with publishers.
He has previously masterminded autobiography deals for Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Tony Blair as well as Sarah Palin's deal with Fox News.
The American former exchange student has not given a proper interview since she and ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito had their convictions for murdering her British flatmate Meredith Kercher overturned by an Italian court. Knox immediately returned to her hometown of Seattle.
Media experts believe the memoirs could earn her a seven-figure sum.
