France has banned sales of a potion that the makers claim eliminates alcohol from the blood up to six times faster than usual, amid fears that it may encourage drink-driving.
Authorities say they cannot prevent the export of the French-made product, Security Feel Better, but ordered it removed from supermarkets pending investigations.
Maker, PPN, expects to sell a million bottles this year in Germany, Switzerland and Korea, with deals pending in the US, China and Britain.
"It is a hangover cure that makes you feel better. That's all," said the firm.
