Alastair Campbell heckled as 'lying scumbag'

Alastair Campbell was branded a "lying scumbag" by a heckler during his one-man show at London's Royal Festival Hall about his time as British Prime Minister Tony Blair's main spin doctor.

Campbell said he would go home and write: "Went to the Festival Hall, got called a liar - again."

He also used the event to condemn former Cabinet minister Clare Short as the "weakest link" before she quit. He had never had much respect for her although she did a perfectly good job "for part of the time" she was in office.
