Travellers on a European flight were spared lengthy delays when a fellow passenger fixed a mechanical fault on the plane.
The BBC reported passengers on Thomas Cook flight TCX9641 to Glasgow from Menorca, near Spain, had been told to expect a delay of up to eight hours while an engineer was flown out from the UK.
However, one of the passengers happened to be a qualified aircraft engineer who worked at Thomsonfly, another air carrier.
The man was able to rectify the problem and the plane landed in Scotland just 35 minutes late.
