HOUSTON - US astronaut Lisa Nowak, who was arrested last month on charges she attempted to kidnap a romantic rival, has been terminated from the astronaut corps, Nasa said on Wednesday.
She had been on leave following the incident in Orlando, Florida, in which has been accused of donning a disguise and attacking a woman she viewed as a rival for the affections of astronaut William Oefelein.
Nowak, a US Navy captain, continues her military service and Nasa said her next assignment would come from the Navy.
She has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted kidnapping, burglary and battery.
