MADRID (AP) Officials say a pregnant British woman has died at Girona airport in northeastern Spain.
A spokeswoman for Catalonia's regional emergency health service said Wednesday the woman, believed to be aged 20, had fainted ad was dead by the time the ambulance reached the airport on Tuesday afternoon.
A Spanish airport authority spokeswoman said the woman had been due to travel to Birmingham and was accompanied by family.
Details on the cause of death or the woman's identity were not immediately available.
Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to give out their names when speaking to the media.
