A Chinese man was driving along the Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway in central China when he noticed a giant circular saw spinning at speed towards his windscreen.
The 1.5m blade collided with the bonnet, ripping through its engine as the man frantically wrestled the wheel of the swerving vehicle.
The blade, which had fallen from a pickup truck that crashed, wedged itself 50cm into his truck but the driver walked away unhurt.
