Some joyrides are a lot longer than others.
Two Australian teenage boys have allegedly taken a stolen 4WD on a jaw-dropping 600km joyride across the Northern Territory.
The boys, aged 13 and 14, allegedly stole the 4WD from a home near Darwin and drove more than 600km to Katherine and back over the weekend, colliding with a car along the way, police say. Both suspects were refused bail to appear in the Darwin Youth Justice Court charged with offences including stealing, the unlawful use of a vehicle and driving without a licence. The 13-year-old will also be charged with breaching a suspended sentence and the 14-year-old with failing to comply with youth court order.
