Thousands of huntsmen rode out in anger at the British Government's ban yesterday, swearing defiance of Prime Minister Tony Blair and killing 91 foxes - but without falling foul of the law.
It was the first major test since hunting was outlawed last Friday. The day was marked by peaceful protests.
The hunters said those foxes killed died by legal means - foxes can be flushed out and shot before their scent is left as a trail for the hounds - but opponents said they had reports of illegal hunt activity.
