KATMANDU, Nepal (AP) Police officials say eight passengers on a bus were injured in a gasoline bomb attack, the latest in a series of attacks on public vehicles defying an opposition-called transportation blockade.
Police official Ram Sagar Singh said suspected opposition activists hurled gasoline bombs at the bus as it was leaving the capital Katmandu on Saturday.
The injured passengers, who included a child, are being treated at local hospitals. Police have no suspects but say the attackers are believed to be supporters of the alliance of 33 opposition political parties which have called for a transportation blockade in an attempt to disrupt next week's election.
There were similar attacks earlier this week.
