A 6.2 magnitude earthquake has struck in the Negros region of the Philippines, the United States Geological survey reports.
The quake struck at 8.47am NZT, at a depth of 19km, 576km southeast of Manila.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre in Hawaii has not issued a tsunami warning, but said localised tsunami are possible due to underwater landslides.
