GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AP) Four Brazilian gold miners have died in Guyana after the pit they were working in collapsed and buried them alive.
Police said late Friday that a fifth man survived. The men had been working at a camp along Guyana's western border with Venezuela, a region rich with gold and diamond deposits.
Four other miners have died in similar circumstances so far this year.
