About 20 people have been injured after two trams collided in Melbourne, it has been reported.
Associated Press (AP) news agency said the driver of one tram and about 20 passengers were injured in the crash in the city's South Yarra suburb. Twelve people were taken to hospital.
Metropolitan Ambulance Service spokeswoman Liana Cross told AP: ""The driver is in a serious but stable condition with facial and upper body injuries."
"The other 11 are in stable conditions with more minor injuries such as fractures, cuts and bruises."
