A British lottery winner who was told he had just won the 8 million ($16.98 million) jackpot responded by saying "lovely", a recording has revealed.
The National Lottery released a recording of a phone call with Philip Dunning, a 44-year-old food processing worker from Bo'ness, Falkirk, who had phoned to check his ticket.
His first words are: "Erm, I believe I have the winning jackpot ticket from last night's lottery draw. I'm shaking like a leaf here."
When the call handler confirmed he had won 7,864,529, his response is one word: "Lovely."
Dunning then adds: "I'm speechless, to be honest with you. I don't know what to actually say. It's just ... er ... surreal. I think that's the only word I can use to describe it. It's all a bit of a dream."
