BEIJING - A fire in a dormitory for railroad workers in northern China killed 10 people, state media reports.
The blaze began late on Monday night in Hohhot, the regional capital of Inner Mongolia, and was brought under control within 30 minutes, fire department officials said, according to the official Xinhua News Agency.
Fourteen other workers in the dorm were hospitalised for burns, with six severely injured, it said.
The workers were part of a crew building a railway tunnel.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Xinhua said.
