Situation:

On Friday, a complex low pressure system in the Tasman Sea approaches the North Island. During Saturday, the low pressure system moves slowly southeast across the country. On Sunday, the low pressure system moves northeast across the North Island, followed by a ridge over the lower South Island. The low pressure system moves away east of the North Island on Monday, while an active front moves out of the Tasman Sea and across the South Island. The front moves quickly up the country on Tuesday, followed by a showery westerly flow.
