A ridge of high pressure covers most of New Zealand today and tomorrow. Meanwhile a showery southeast flow affects eastern parts of the North Island. On Thursday, the high covers most of New Zealand. On Friday, the high moves east of the North Island while a low pressure system approaches the west of New Zealand from the Tasman Sea. On Saturday a ridge of high pressure extends over most of the country while a northeast flow northern North Island and west of New Zealand.
