Situation:
A large deep low lies near the Chatham Islands today and tomorrow, spreading a strong cold southerly flow across the country. On Monday the deep low near the Chatham Islands moves away to the east, and the strong cold southerly flow over New Zealand eases as a ridge of high pressure spreads slowly onto the country. On Tuesday northerlies strengthen ahead of a front in the Tasman Sea. The front crosses the country on Wednesday as another low in the Tasman Sea approaches.
