World premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The world premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will take place in the New Zealand capital of Wellington later this year. Kiwi Prime Minister John Key says the making of two films by Sir Peter Jackson about the adventures of hobbit Bilbo Baggins - before the event of the Lord of the Rings movies - has provided phenomenal global promotion for the country.
