Protesters march to save Campbell Live

Hundreds of protestors have gathered across the country today in an attempt to save current affairs programme Campbell Live. Protests are taking place in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin throughout the day, calling on MediaWorks to save the daily programme, which was placed under review two weeks ago. About 100,000 supporters have signed three separate petitions in support of the show.

William Shakepeare's famous Globe Theatre is heading to Auckland next year; as the world marks 400 years since the playwright died. A full-scale temporary pop-up theatre will be located in the central city and open to the public next year. It will be a full-size working replica of the second Globe Theatre in Bankside, London, and is a world first.

Trailer: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The latest trailer for the latest Star Wars installment - Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been released and the force is very strong with this one. Director J.J. Abrams introduced the new teaser trailer at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim this week and it reveals a lot more than the first teaser. Some old faces appear including Han Solo, Chewbacca and R2-D2 along with the destroyed mask of Darth Vader while Mark Hamill, reprising the role of Luke Skywalker does a voiceover.
