Zuiderzee Museum, Enkhuizen, The Netherlands
This working museum, just an hour's train trip from Amsterdam, has recreated the sort of community that would have been present in the region during the period of 1850-1930... before the Zuiderzee was cut off from the North Sea and transformed into an inland sea.
