There's a new busiest airport in the world, and it's not where you'd expect.
Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport has been named the world's busiest international airport in the world for August, according to aviation data analysts OAG.
The airport's massive boost was likely due to Europe opening up for its summer season, according to news.com.au, with travel-starved passengers jet setting from country to country.
Coming in ahead of the previous number one – Dubai, OAG measures the winning airport as the 'busiest' by looking at the scheduled capacity in any given month.
So for the month of August, for example, Schiphol had a 2,511,321-seat capacity, while Dubai had 2,312,381 seats.
