This Thursday is World Photography Day, and French boutique cruise line Ponant is offering the perfect opportunity to brush off your skills and renew your passion for getting behind the camera, and spend an afternoon daydreaming about travel as well.
Award-winning Australian photographer Jason Edwards is teaming up with National
Geographic and Ponant, and will be leading two online sessions to showcase decades of his incredible wildlife and environmental photography. These sessions are open to anyone (registration is free), and viewers can enjoy Edwards' selection of his most well-known images through the years, and pick up some tips on how to capture your own striking photographs.
Edwards began his career at the Royal Melbourne Zoo 30 years ago, and he's since then his work has been seen in the likes of the New York Times, Conde Nast, National Geographic and many more. He is a fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers and a multiple award winner to boot.
He'll be showing images from some of Ponant's incredible journeys where he has worked onboard as a photographer with their National Geographic Expeditions, including to the Kimberley in Western Australia, Antarctica, Melanesia, and New Zealand's Subantarctic Islands. There'll be two sessions on the day so be sure to sign up and immerse yourself in the kind of international expeditions of which, right now, we can only dream. Register at https://bit.ly/3xzBauA
