Whitianga's popular scallops

Tickets have already sold out to the Whitianga Scallop Festival's seafood extravaganza, which is the main festival event on August 26. However, a number of smaller events take place from August 24 to August 27 in local eateries, including jazz at Hot Waves cafe, and comedy night at the Whitianga Hotel.
